Imogen Stuart (b. Berlin, Germany, 1927) was apprenticed to Otto Hitzberger, former professor of the National College of Fine Art in Berlin, before moving to Ireland in 1951.
Solo exhibitions include RHA, Dublin (2010); Solomon Gallery, Dublin (2002); and a retrospective exhibition of her work at the RHA, Dublin (2002). She has also participated in RHA annual exhibitions numerous times and exhibited at the Irish Exhibition of Living Art from 1949 to 1991. Stuart was commissioned by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon to produce work for the touring school show ‘Tokens’ (1993).
Her work is in the National Self-Portrait Collection in Limerick; University College Dublin; and The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon among others.
