Burke Brogan, Patricia

Patricia Brogan Burke (b. Clare, Ireland, 1934) is a self-taught playwright, novelist, poet and artist.

She has had a major retrospective at The Kenny Gallery, Galway (1999) and solo shows at Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin; the Arts Council Gallery in Belfast; the Arts Society Gallery in Cork; and United Arts Club, Dublin (1985). She has exhibited widely in selected international exhibitions such as Cadaques and Barcelona (annually); Madrid (1990); Encamp Andorra (1991); University of Hawaii (1992). To date, there have been over 100 productions of her stage play, Eclipsed, on three continents.

Her work is represented in the collection of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, among others.
