Dorothy Cross b. Cork, Ireland, 1956, studied at Crawford Municipal School of Art, Cork, Leicester Polytechnic, England and San Francisco Art Institute, California.

Recent exhibitions include: ‘Dorothy Cross: Stalactite’, solo exhibition at Frith Street Gallery (2011), ‘A Duck for Mr Darwin’, a touring group exhibition at The Baltic, Gateshead; Mead Gallery, Warwick University (2009), ‘Land Scape’ a solo exhibition at Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane (2008) and a solo exhibition at Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin (2005).

Cross’ work is included in the collections of Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Tate Gallery, London, The Arnolfini Trust, Bristol and Art Pace Foundation, San Antonio, Texas, among others.
