Malcolm Bennett (b. Derby, England, 1942) studied at Stanmills College, Belfast.
Solo exhibitions of his work include Kenny Gallery, Galway (2004, 2001, 1994, 1989); Gallery 44, Cork (2002, 2000); Cavehill Gallery, Belfast (2002); and Hunt Baker Gallery, Florida, USA (1997). Malcolm Bennett has been a regular contributor to major exhibitions in Ireland since the early 1960s. These include Irish Exhibition of Living Art, Oireachtas, the RHA annual shows, Ulster Painting and the RUA.
As well as The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, he is represented in the collections of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, University of Ulster, Coras Iompair Eireann (CIE), and Stranmillis College, Belfast among others.
