Davey, Rosaleen
Rosaleen Davey b. Antrim, Northern Ireland, 1947, studied at Ulster College of Art.
Solo exhibitions include Cavanacor Gallery, Co. Donegal (2001); Ayesha Castle Gallery, Co. Dublin (1997); Butler Gallery, Kilkenny Castle (1996); RIAI Gallery, Dublin (1995); Taylor Galleries, Dublin (1993, 1991, 1989); Fenderesky Gallery, Belfast (1992); and the Caldwell Gallery, Dublin (1982). Rosemary has exhibited regularly at all the main group exhibitions in Ireland, including RHA, Independent Artists, Figurative Image, Boyle Arts Festival, Aer Rianta and eva, Limerick. Others include The Irish Exhibition of Living Art (1978), SADE, Municipal Art Gallery, Cork (1982), Vital Presence, Belltable Arts Centre, Limerick (1998) and IMMA, Maurice Foley Collection (2000).
Her work is represented in many of the major public collections in Ireland. Among these are the Arts Councils of Ireland and Northern Ireland; Contemporary Irish Arts Society; Boyle Civic Collection; Allied Irish Banks; and the Office of Public Works, Dublin.
