Desmond, Maurice

Maurice Desmond (b. Ireland, 1944) studied at Limerick College of Art.

Solo exhibitions of his works include Vangard Gallery, Cork (2005, 2002, 1999); Hallward Gallery, Dublin (1998, 1995); and Triskel Arts Centre, Cork (1988, 1984, 1980). Selected group exhibitions include ‘C2 Contemporary Art from Cork’ at Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Cork (2005); Lavit Gallery, Cork (1999, 1998); Museum of Fine Art, Alytus, Lithuania (1998); and Museum of Fine Art, Cesis, Latvia (1997).

Desmond’s work is included in the public collections of Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Cork; University of Limerick; Arts Council of Ireland/An Comhairle Ealaion; University College Cork and Cork Opera House, among others.
