Biography

Graham Gingles (b. Larne, Northern Ireland, 1943) studied at Belfast College of Art, University of London, Hornsea College of Art, and British School at Rome.

Solo exhibitions include The Three Bridges Galley, Clinton Centre (2008); Peppercanister Gallery, Dublin (2009, 2005, 2003); Fenderesky Gallery, Belfast (2007, 2006, 2004, 2000, 1996, 1991, 1988, 1986) and Butler Gallery, Kilkenny (1994). Group shows have included Royal Ulster Academy at the Ulster Museum, Belfast (2010); ‘Art Beyond Ulster’, Golden Thread Gallery, Belfast (2008); Irish Contemporary Exhibition of Art, The Bankside Gallery, London (2009); Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin (2007); as well as frequently showing at RHA’s annual exhibitions.

Public collections representing Gingle’s work include Arts Council of Northern Ireland; The Ulster Museum, Belfast; The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon; The Gordon Lambert Collection; The Butler Gallery, Kilkenny; The Holdar Collection, Armenia; Office of Public Works (OPW), Dublin.
