Healy, Henry
Henry Healy (b. Dublin, Ireland, 1909, d. 1982) graduated from the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art in 1934 and went on to study in London and Paris.
He made his first appearance at the RHA in 1938, and continued exhibiting there over the next forty years. He exhibited with and was President of the Dublin Painters Society. The Taylor Galleries, Dublin, staged a retrospective of his work shortly after his death in 1982 and later in 1990 The George Gallery, Dublin held a retrospective.
His work is contained in the collections of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon; Office of Public Works (OPW); and National Self Portrait Collection, University of Limerick.
