Wynne Jones, Nancy
Nancy Wynne-Jones (b. Dolgellau, Wales in 1922 and d. 2006) studied at Heatherly's Art School and the Chelsea Art School in London, and St. Peter's Loft in St. Ives, Cornwall.
She first held solo shows at the New Vision Centre, London (1962), Galleria Numero, Florence (1963), Dolgellau, Wales (1964), NVC, London (1965), and Project Arts Centre, Dublin (1970). Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, she exhibited frequently at the Emmet Gallery, Lincoln Gallery and Hendriks Gallery in Dublin; she now exhibits at the Taylor Galleries, Dublin (2004, 2002, 2000, 1997, 1995). She has participated in major group shows in London, Cardiff, Amsterdam, Livorno, New York and Washington DC. University College Cork held a career retrospective in 1992 which toured Ireland.
Her work is represented in the collection of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon among others including Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork and University College Cork, Modern Art Collection.
