Kelly, Oisin

Oisín Kelly b. Dublin, Ireland, 1915 and d. 1981, studied at Trinity College, Dublin and Chelsea Polytechnic, UK, under British sculptor Henry Moore.

In 1978 the Arts Councils of both Ireland and Northern Ireland staged a retrospective at the Ulster Museum, Belfast, Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin and Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork. Other solo exhibitions include Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar, Co. Mayo (1997).

Kelly’s work is included in the public collections of the Arts Council of Ireland; Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane; Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin; National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin; National Self Portrait Collection, University of Limerick; and Waterford Municipal Art Collection.
