Moss, Mathew
Mathew Moss studied at National College of Art and Design, Dublin, Trinity College Dublin and Instituto Centrale del Restauro, Rome. Moss established a modern conservation laboratory in the National Gallery of Ireland in 1963 and became the chief curator of conservation for fifteen years, restoring masterpieces by important Old Masters including Giotto and Rembrandt. He was also associated with the artists collective 'Group 65.'
He held solo shows at Godolphin Gallery, Dublin; Kennedy Gallery, Dublin (1994); and participated in Irish Exhibition of Living Art.
His work is held in the collection of the The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
