O'Neill, Richard

Richard O’Neill (b. Waterford, Ireland, 1923 and d. 2009) studied at Waterford School of Art and later went onto the College of Art, Dublin.

His solo exhibitions include Dawson Gallery, Dublin (1964); and Dublin Painter’s Gallery (1956). He participated in the group shows ‘Figurative Image’ at the Bank of Ireland Exhibition Hall (1991, 1986) and the Irish Exhibition of Living Art (1987, 1958).

His work is held in The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon’s collection, Trinity College Dublin, and the Crawford Art Galery, Cork.
