Power, Arthur
Arthur Power b. Guernesey, UK, 1891 and d.1984, was a writer, art critic and a largely self-taught painter.
In his career as an artist Power exhibited as part of the Waterford Art Exhibition (1936), Irish Exhibition of living Art (1965, 1966), RHA (regularly from 1969 until 1983) and at Project Arts Centre (1971). Power presented a two person show at the United Arts Club, Dublin with Adrian Murray-Hayden. Retrospectives of Power’s work were held at Taylor Galleries, Dublin in 1983 and The United Arts Club in 1986.
He is represented in the Arts Council of Ireland’ s collection.
