Piercey, Siobhan

Biography

Siobhan Piercey (b. England, 1957) lives and works in the West of Ireland. She studied at the Royal College of Art, London, Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, Kent, U.K. and the Crawford School of Art, Cork, Ireland.

Solo shows of her work have been held at The Hammond Gallery, Cork (2004); Dunamaise Arts Centre, Portlaoise (2002); Triskel Arts Centre, Cork (2000); and Galway Arts Centre, Galway (1999). She has exhibited nationally and internationally in group shows including '10,000 to 50' at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin (2008); the 7th Biennale of Graphic Art 'Euro-Estampe' at Lorient, France (2007); 'Masters of Graphic Arts', Gyor, Hungary (2006) as well as at the Royal Academy, London (2006). 

Alongside The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon’s collection, her work is held in private and public collections including the Instituto Internationale per la Grafica, Rome; Office of Public Works (OPW); and University College Cork, Modern Art Collection among others.
