Roberts, Hilda

Hilda Roberts (b. Dublin, Ireland, 1901 and d. 1982) studied at Metropolitan School of Art, Dublin; London Polytechnic and La Grande Chaumiere Studio, Paris.

Retrospectives of her work were held at Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork (1999); and Taylor Galleries, Dublin (1979). She exhibited at RHA regularly and participated in the Irish Exhibition of living Art (1958, 1943).

Her work is held in the collections of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon; the Ulster Museum, Belfast; Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery, Dublin; National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin; Limerick City Gallery of Art (includes National Collection of Contemporary Drawing); and Waterford Municipal Art Collection.
