Behan, John

John Behan b. Dublin, Ireland, 1938, studied at the National College of Art & Design, Dublin, Ealing Art College, London and the Royal Academy School, Oslo.

Recent Solo shows include the Solomon Gallery, Dublin (2010), Hunt Museum, Limerick (2009) and Beaux Arts Bath, Bath, Somerset (2008). Behan regularly exhibited at the Cork Arts Society, RHA and Oireachtas exhibitions and was active in founding the Project Arts Centre.

Behan’s work is held in the Public Collections of The Hugh Lane Gallery, Dublin; Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork; The National Gallery of Ireland among other public and private collections.
