Burke, John

John Burke b. Clonmel, Tipperary 1946 and d. 2006, attended the Crawford Municipal School of Art, Cork.

Burke held solo shows in Munster Fine Art, Cork (1967); Trinity College Dublin (1973) and Crawford Art Gallery (1998). His work was included in the Oireachtas exhibition numerous times and also in ‘Southern Artists’, Cork Arts Society (1990, 1992) and Independent Artists, 1972.

Burke is represented in the collections of Ulster Museum, Belfast, Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane, and Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork.
