Brennan, Colm
Colm Brennan (b. Belmullet, Co. Mayo, Ireland, 1943) is a founder member of the Sculptors Society of Ireland, and is Director of CAST Bronze Foundry in Dublin.
Solo presentations of his work include Sculpture in Context, Fernhill Gardens (1985); and Lincoln Gallery, Dublin with Leo Higgins (1981). He has been commissioned to create numerous trophies for awards including the 1989 European Award, the 1991 European of the Year Award and the 1994 Compaq Ireland Trade Award. He also created the figurehead for Asgard sailing ship, the 'Salmon Fountain' at the Intel factory, Leixlip and the 'Birds Sculpture' at the Hotel Conrad.
His work is represented in the collection of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon among others.
