Brandt, Muriel
Muriel Brandt (b. Belfast, Northern Ireland, 1909, and d. 1981) studied at the Belfast College of Art and at the Royal College of Art in London, where she was elected Associate Royal College of Art (ARCA) in 1937.
Brandt exhibited widely and had regular solo shows at the Dawson Gallery (including 1968). She participated in the major group shows Irish Exhibition of Living Art; Oireachtas and RHA.
Her work is represented in the collection of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon as well as the collections of Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork, National Self Portrait Collection, University of Limerick and National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin.
