Crone, David
David Crone (b. Belfast, Northern Ireland, 1937) studied fine art in the College of Art in Belfast.
Selected one person shows include Fenderesky Gallery, Belfast (2009, 2006, 2004, 2002); John Martin Gallery, London (2007, 2005, 2004); Hillsboro Fine Art, Dublin (2006, 2004); and a retrospective exhibition at Ulster Museum, Belfast (2000). Recent group exhibitions include ‘The Last Lines of Waiting’, Fenderesky Gallery, Belfast (2002); The Royal Ulster Academy, Ulster Museum, Belfast (2001); and Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin (2001 – 2009).
Crone’s work can be seen in the collections of The Arts Council of Northern Ireland; The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon; The Arts Council of Great Britain; Ulster Museum, Belfast; Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin; Butler Gallery, Kilkenny; Contemporary Arts Society, Dublin; Queen’s University and Boyle Civic Collection among others.
