Jolley, Patrick

Biography

Patrick Jolley (b. Co. Down, Northern Ireland, 1964 and d. 2011) studied at National College of Art and Design, Dublin and School of Visual Arts, New York.

 

Jolley’s solo exhibitions include ‘Here After’ Meeting House Square, Dublin (2004); Arthouse, Dublin (2001); Project Arts Centre, Dublin (1999); Gallery of Photography, Dublin (1996); and ‘Too Late For Fucking Sorry Now’ at City Arts Centre, Dublin (1995). Group shows and collaborations with Reynold Reynolds include 30th São Paulo Biennial in Brazil (2012); Salvador Allende Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago, Chile (2012); Dublin Contemporary 2011; PS1 Museum New York (2006); ‘Those Performing Bodies’ at Tate Modern, London, (2003); and Roebling Hall Gallery, New York (2000). Jolley was commissioned by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon to produce work for the touring school show ‘Inside Out’ (1993).

 

Apart from the Art Council of Ireland/An Chomhairle Ealaoín, his work makes up part of the collections of Museum of Modern Art, New York; the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein; the Julia Stoschek Collection and the Lyons Museum of Contemporary Art.
