Clarke, Declan
Declan Clarke (b. Dublin, Ireland, 1974) studied at National College of Art and Design, Dublin and Chelsea College of Art, London.
Recent solo exhibitions include ‘We’ll be this way until the end of the world’ at mother’s tankstation, Dublin (2011), Goethe-Institut, Dublin (2009); Declan Clarke & Derek Jarman, Serpentine Cinema, Serpentine Gallery at The Gate Cinema, London (2009); and Pierogi, Leipzig (2008). Recent group exhibitions include Dublin Contemporary 2011, ‘UK; Auto-Kino!’ curated by Phil Collins, Temporäre Kunshalle, Berlin (2010); and Smallpox, Lisbon (2009). In 2010 his work was included in the Migrating Forms Underground Film Festival, New York.
His work is represented in the collection of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, among others.
Declan Clarke (b.1974) studied at Chelsea College of Arts, London. His work has been shown at The Hugh Lane Gallery, Tate Britain, and Serpentine Gallery London. Films have been screened at FID-Marseille and Tromsø International Film Festivals. He has undertaken residencies at MoMA/PS1, Saatchi Fellowship and IMMA.
