McMahon, Beatrice

Biography

Beatrice McMahon (b.1972) studied mathematics at Trinity College Dublin, mathematical physics at University College Dublin, MAVIS at IADT as well as a two-year residency at Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten. She has exhibited across Ireland and Europe including EVA International, Museum of Modern Art Warsaw and CCA Derry-Londonderry.  McMahon’s work is held in collections at IMMA and OPW.

Bea McMahon (b. Ireland 1972) studied at Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology, Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin.

 

Solo Shows include Temple Bar Gallery & Studios, Dublin (2012); Flat Time House, London (2011); Green On Red Gallery, Dublin (2010, 2008); and ‘True complex’ with Brendan Earley, Void, Derry, (2008). Group shows include All Humans Do’, White Box, New York and The Model, Sligo (2012); Pallas Periodical Review, Pallas Projects, Dublin (2011); and The Lab, Dublin (2011).

 

McMahon’s work is included in the collections of the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin, the Office of Public Works (OPW) and The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
