Brandes, Stephen

Stephen Brandes b. Wolverhampton, UK, 1966, studied at Bourneville College of Art, Bath Academy of Art, both in England and National College of Art and Design, Dublin.

Recent Solo exhibitions include CAKE Contemporary Arts Centre, Kildare (2012); Rubicon Gallery, Dublin (2010) and Galerie Robert Drees, Hanover, Germany (2009). Group shows include ‘Last’, Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin (2012) and ‘Twenty’, Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin (2011).

Brandes’ work is included in the collections of the Arts Council of Ireland; Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA); Office of Public Works (OPW); Crawford Gallery, Cork; Limerick City Gallery; and The National Self-Portrait Collection, Limerick University.
