Brown, Deborah

Deborah Brown b. Belfast, Northern Ireland, 1927, studied at Belfast College of Art and National College of Art and Design, Dublin.

A major retrospective of Brown’s work was held in the Ulster Museum, Belfast and Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane (1982). Solo exhibitions include Shambles Art Gallery, Co. Down (1989) and Cavanacor Gallery, Lifford (2002). Brown’s work has been included in ROSC, Oireachtas and Irish Exhibition of Living Art on numerous occasions.

Her work is included in the collections of Ulster Museum; RTÉ; Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane and Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin.
