Bourke, Brian
Brian Bourke b. Dublin, Ireland, 1936, studied at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, St. Martins School of Art, London and Goldsmith’s London.
He represented Ireland at the Paris Biennale (1965) and the Lugano Exhibition of Graphics (1965). His work was included in ROSC (1988) and the Irish Exhibition of Living Art (1987). A major exhibition of his work was shown at the RHA (1998).
Bourke’s work is included in the collections of the Arts Councils of Northern Ireland and Ireland; Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane; and Ulster Museum, Belfast.
Brian
Bourke was born in Dublin in 1936. He attended the National College of Art
& Design in Dublin and later moved to London to further his studies. Bourke
has exhibited around the world including in Bavaria, Switzerland and France. He
is a member of Aosdána and lives and works in the west of Ireland.
