Hapaska, Siobhán
Siobhán Hapaska b. Belfast, Northern Ireland 1963, studied at Middlesex Polytechnic, London and Goldsmiths College, London.
Recent solo exhibitions include Kerlin Gallery, Dublin (2011); Tanya Bonakdar Gallery, New York (2010); The Curve Gallery, The Barbican Art Centre (2010); London, Ormeau Baths Gallery, Belfast (2010); Glasgow Sculpture Studios Fall Public Program, Scotland (2009). Recent group exhibitions include ‘British Sculpture: A View Through the 20th Century’, The Royal Academy of Arts, London (2011); ‘Causing Chaos’, St. Andrew’s Museum, Scotland, ‘Someone Else’s Life’ (2011); Kerlin Gallery, Dublin, Ireland (2011); and ‘Islands Never Found’, Palazo Ducale, Genoa, Italy; travelling to The State Museum of Contemporary Art, Thessaloniki, Greece and St. Etienne Museum of Modern Art, Saint Etienne, France (2010-2011).
Hapaska’s work is represented in the public collections of Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington DC; Massachusetts Institute of Technology; The Tate Modern, London and The Arts Council of Ireland.
