Robb, Alan
Alan Robb (b. Glasgow, Scotland, 1946) studied at Grays School of Art, Aberdeen and the Royal College of Art, London.
Robb’s solo exhibitions include McManus Gallery Dundee (2012); Open Eye Gallery, Edinburgh (2010); Hamnavoe Gallery, Aberdeen (2009, 2007, 2006); East West, London (2005, 1999, 1997); Triskel Art Centre, Cork (1979) and Cork Art Society (1976). Since 1968 he has been a regular exhibitor at Royal Scottish Academy, Royal Society of Painters in Watercolour, Society of Scottish Artists and Aberdeen Artists Society. Other group shows include Gallery 108 Harrogate, North Yorkshire (2009); Solomon Gallery, Dublin (2003); eva Limerick (1977-1981).
Robb’s work is represented in the collections of Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums; City of Dundee Museums & Art Galleries; Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Cork; The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon; Arts in Fife; Grays School of Art, Aberdeen; University of Dundee; Royal College of Art, London; Annie Hughhill Trust; and The Royal Academy, London among others.
