Biography

Corban Walker (b. Dublin, Ireland, 1967) studied at National College of Art and Design, Dublin. He represented Ireland at the 54th Venice Biennale (2011).

Solo exhibitions include Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane (2009); Pace Wildenstein Gallery New York (2011, 2007, 2000); Green on Red Gallery, Dublin (2007, 2002, 2000); Fenton Gallery, Cork (2004). Selected group exhibitions include Dublin Contemporary 2011; Moving Image Art Fair of Contemporary Video Art, New York (2011); Winkleman Gallery, New York (2010); and The Flag Art Foundation, New York (2010). Walker’s work can be found in the public collections of Dublin City Council; Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin; Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Cork; University College Dublin; South Dublin County Council; Limerick County Council, and private collections in Ireland, Europe, Asia and USA.

Walker’s work is also among the collection of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
