Ballagh, Robert
Robert Ballagh b. Dublin, Ireland, 1943, studied architecture at Dublin Institute of Technology.
Ballagh represented Ireland at the 1969 Paris Biennale and a major retrospective of his work was held at the RHA Gallery, Dublin in 2006. Recent group shows include: ‘An Eye for an Eye’ at the Lewis Glucksman Gallery, Cork (2008) and ‘What lies beneath the surface’ at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin (2008).
His paintings are held in many collections including the National Gallery of Ireland; the Ulster Museum; Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane; and the Albrecht Dürer House, Nuremberg.
