Crozier, William
William Crozier (b. Glasgow, Scotland, 1930 and d. 2011) studied at the Glasgow School of Art, then lived in Paris in the early 1950s before moving to Dublin. He held his first solo exhibition of paintings in London in 1957.
Other solo exhibitions include Arthur Tooth & Sons, London (1964, 1962, 1963, 1959); Drian Galleries, London (1970, 1968, 1965, 1962, 1961, 1960, 1958); the Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh and London (1990, 1989, 1985); National Museum, Gdansk (1990); Taylor Galleries, Dublin (1991); and career retrospectives at the Royal Hibernian Academy's Gallagher Gallery and the Crawford Municipal Gallery in Cork (1990). He frequently partook in Oireachtas, the RHA Annual exhibition, and exhibited with Cork Arts Society regularly.
His work is included in the collections of Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork and Arts Council of Ireland/An Chomhairle Ealaoín among others.
