McCrea, Ronan
Ronan McCrea (b. Dublin, Ireland, 1969 ) studied at National College of Art and Design, Dublin and University of Ulster, Belfast.
Recent solo projects include AUTODIDACT (2011) at Green on Red Gallery, followed by screenings at Cobra Museum Netherlands, and Cologne Kunstverein; School Play (2008/09) a project for Castleknock Educate Together School; Medium (Corporate Entities) a project for the Irish Museum of Modern Art ‘10,000 to 50’ exhibition (2008); Medium at Gallery for One & Goethe-Institut, Dublin (2007); solo exhibitions at Galway Arts Centre (2004); Project Arts Centre Dublin (2003); and Glassbox Paris (2002). In 2005 McCrea was one of seven artists who represented Ireland at the Venice Biennale. Group shows include Cartel, London (2012) Crate Project Space, Margate (2011); Gracelands 2011,Leitrim (2011); Apexart, New York (2008); Spencer Brownstone Gallery, New York, (2005); and Project Arts Centre, Dublin (2005).
