Haughey, Anthony

Biography

Anthony Haughey (b. Armagh, Northern Ireland, 1963) studied at West Surrey Institute of Art and Design and National, College of Art and Design, Dublin and University of Ulster.

 

Solo exhibitions include Belfast Exposed Gallery (2012); Landschaften, Kunstlerhaus S11, Solothurn, Switzerland (2012); The Copper House Gallery, Dublin (2011); and Gallery of Photography, Dublin (2006, 1996, 1992). Group shows include ‘Sense of Place’, European Landscape Photography, Palais des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles (2012); Helsinki Photography Biennial, City Museum, Hakasalmi Villa (2012); and New York Photography Festival  (2011). Haughey was commissioned by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon to produce work for the touring school show ‘Inside Out’ (1993).

 

His work is in public and private collections worldwide including the Victoria & Albert Museum, British Council, Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Centre national de l'audiovisuel Luxembourg, Wolverhampton Art Gallery and the National Media Museum.

Anthony Haughey (b.1963) from Northern Ireland studied at NCAD. He has had solo exhibitions across Europe including France, UK and Switzerland, and participated in major group exhibitions including Colombo Art Biennale, Helsinki Photography Biennial and TULCA. Haughey’s work is held in collections including the Museum of Contemporary Photography Chicago, OPW and the Victoria + Albert Museum London
