Warren, Michael
Michael Warren (b. Gorey, Wexford, Ireland, 1950) studied at Bath Academy of Art, Trinity College Dublin and Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan.
Solo exhibitions of Warren’s work include ‘Predella’, Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin (2012); ‘Pica Pica’, St. Mary's Abbey, Dublin (2011); VISUAL, Carlow (2010); and Hillsboro Fine Art, Dublin (2010). Warren has exhibited in group shows at Hillsboro Fine Art, Dublin (2013, 2011, 2008); Crawford Art Gallery, Cork (2011); Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin (2009); VISUAL, Carlow (2009). Large scale outdoor works include Unbroken Line, Dublin Castle, Dublin (2013); Janus, Western Gate Building, University College Cork, Cork (2010); Bronze Arch, Gongju, Korea (2003); and Millennium Sculpture, RTÉ, Dublin (2001).
Warren is represented in the collection of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, among many others including Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane and Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin.
