Cummins, Pauline

Biography

Pauline Cummins (b. 1949) studied at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin.

 

Solo and two person-exhibitions includeBetween One and Another’, an exhibition of video works by Pauline Cummins and Sandra Vida as part of the MST Festival in Calgary, Canada (2012); Pauline Cummins & Sandra Vida, Irish Cultural Centre, Paris (2012); Performance with Gerard Byrne, The Winding Stairs Bookshop, Ormond Quay, Dublin (2003); solo exhibition ‘Power Points’, Tinahely Courthouse Centre, Wicklow (2000); and a collaborative installation by Pauline Cummins and Louise Walsh, Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin (1992). She participated in major group show ‘Right Here Right Now: Irish Performance Art’, Kilmainham Gaol, Dublin (2010) and has curated many shows. Cummins was commissioned by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon to produce work for the first in a series of touring school shows entitled ‘The School Show’ (1986).

 

Her work is part of the permanent collections of Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin and The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
