O'Reilly, Geraldine

Biography

Geraldine O'Reilly (b. Killucan, Co. Westmeath, 1955) is a graduate of the National College of Art and Design, Dublin.

Solo exhibitions of her work include the Doorway Gallery, Dublin (2012); the Hamilton Gallery, Sligo (2011); Strule Arts Centre, Omagh (2010); Sligo Art Gallery, Sligo (2008); and Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Cork (2004). She has exhibited at major group shows eva International, Limerick; Claremorris Open; Iontas and RHA Annual exhibitions. O’Reilly was commissioned by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon to produce work for the first in a series of touring school shows entitled ‘The School Show’ (1986).  

Her work is held in many private and public collections, most notable: Office of Public Works (OPW), Monaghan VEC, Monaghan County Hospital, Collection of Marie and Denis Foley at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Trinity College, National Library of Ireland, National Gallery of Ireland, Chester Beatty Museum and Library, McMullen Museum, Boston College, USA, State University of New York (SUNY), University of Tasmania, Australia, The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon and the National College of Arts and Design.
