Fingleton, Sean
Sean Fingleton (b. Malin, Donegal, Ireland, 1950) studied at University College, Dublin, Letterkenny Institute of Technology and the National College of Art and Design, Dublin.
Among his recent solo exhibitions are Cavancor Gallery, Donegal (2006); Temple Bar Gallery & Studios, Dublin (2001); and a two-person show at Riverrun Gallery, Limerick (1987). Fingleton has regularly featured in the RHA Annual exhibition and has also been in group shows at Barbara Stanley Gallery, London (2005); Taylor Galleries, Dublin (2005); Mermaid Arts Centre, Wicklow (2005); and Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin (2004).
His work forms part of the collections of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Aras anUachtarain, the Office of Public Works (OPW), the Royal Hospital in Gloucester in England and the European Parliament in Strasbourg among others.
