Donnelly, Micky

Biography

Micky Donnelly (b. Belfast, Northern Ireland, 1952) studied at the University of Ulster.

 

He shows with the Fenderesky Gallery, Belfast, the Taylor Galleries, Dublin, and the Norman Villa Gallery, Galway. Elsewhere solo exhibitions have included Vangard Gallery, Cork (2006, 2004); Dunamaise Arts Centre, Portlaoise (2002, 2000); Robert Fraser Gallery, Auckland (2000 ); and Temple Bar Gallery & Studios, Dublin (1998). Major group exhibitions have included ‘The Public Eye: Art From Northern Ireland’, City Art Centre, Edinburgh (2003); ‘Twelve Artists from Ireland’, Itami City Museum, Japan (1995); and Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin (1990).

 

His work is included in many private and public art collections in Ireland, Europe, and the USA, including the Irish Museum of Modern Art; the Ulster Museum; The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon; the Arts Council of Northern Ireland; the Arts Council of England; the British Council; and the European Parliament. www.mickydonnelly.com
