O'Connell, Tina

Tina O’Connell (b. Limerick, Ireland, 1964) studied at Limerick School of Art and Design; Chelsea College of Art, London; Marseille College of Art, France; and Winchester School of Art, Hampshire.

Solo exhibitions include Jerwood Gallery, London (2004); Limerick City Art Gallery, Ireland (2004); College des Irelandais, Paris, France (2002); Spacex Gallery, Exeter, England (1997). Group exhibitions have included Kilkenny Castle, Kilkenny (2006); ‘Sculpture at Kells’, Kells, Co Meath (2006); Mappin Art Gallery, Sheffield, England (2002); and Whitechapel Gallery, London. She has completed two recent International commissions, a new collaborative work for a Sculpture Biennale, Germany in 2012 and a public art commission for Washington DC Arts and Humanities Commission.

She is represented in numerous public and private collections including The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon.
