O'Kelly, Alanna

Biography

Alanna O'Kelly (b. Wexford, Ireland, 1955) studied at National College of Art and Design, Dublin and has done further studies and research at the Slade School of Art, London and in Helsinki.

Solo shows include Duiske Abbey, County Kilkenny (2003); San Francisco Art Institute (1997); Slade School of Art, London (1986); and Project Arts Centre, Dublin (1981). Major group shows include the 1996 Sao Paolo Bienal and the RHA Annual Exhibitions. She was commissioned by the Arts Council to produce work for the ‘Heroes’ school touring exhibition (1987).

Other collections containing her work include Crawford Art Gallery Collection.

Alanna O'Kelly (b.1955) at the Slade School of Art, London. She is a member of Aosdána and represented Ireland at Documenta and the Sao Paulo Biennale. International exhibitions have included Museum of Modern Art Gave Sweden, Centre George Pompidou Paris and Franklin Furnace New York. O’Kelly’s work is in collections at IMMA, Crawford Gallery of Art
