Laffan, Justin

Justin Laffan (b. Dublin, Ireland, 1962) studied at National College of Art, Kildare Street, Dublin.

Laffan exhibited from1971 to 1981 at Independent Artists exhibitions in Project Gallery, Hugh Lane Gallery, Douglas Hyde Gallery, Roth House Kilkenny and Skellig Hotel Dingle. He participated in group shows at Kenney Gallery, Galway (1974); Altos Studios, Santa Cruz, California (1976); Douglas Hyde Gallery (1979, 1978, 1977) and Oireachtas Exhibitions (1979, 1978, 1977). Laffan was the subject of the solo exhibition ‘Creating Space’ at The Warehouse, Poole, Dorset (1983-1984) and exhibited as part of a two person show at Lismore Art Centre, Co. Waterford (1999-2000). From 2000 to 2012 Laffan has exhibited work in galleries in Cork, Dublin, Waterford and Kerry.

Laffan is represented in The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon’s collection and has completed many public and private commissions.
