Walsh, Samuel

Biography

Samuel Walsh (b. England, 1951) studied at Limerick School of Art and Design, National College of Art and Design, Dublin and Mary Immaculate College of Education, Limerick.

Selected one-person exhibitions include Hillsboro Fine Art, Dublin, Ireland (2012, 2007); VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art, Carlow (2011); Hunt Museum, Limerick (2010); Centre International d'Art Contemporain, Pont-Aven, France (2008) and Limerick City Gallery of Art, Limerick (2007). Selected group exhibitions include 3rd International Drawing Biennale, Melbourne, Australia (2005); Drawings and Works on Paper from the IMMA Collection, Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin (2005); IV International Biennial of Drawing, Pilsen, Czech Republic (2004); and 15th International Triennial of Drawing, Rijeka, Croatia (2001). He was commissioned by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon to produce work for the touring school show ‘Inside Out’ (1993).
