McNab, Theo
Theo McNabb (b. Dublin, Ireland, 1940 d. 2015) is a self-taught painter, known principally for abstract, minimalist landscapes.
Exhibitions include a two person show with Charles Tyrrell at Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin (1987); and solo shows at the David Hendriks Gallery (1973, 75, 80) and the Cork Arts Society Gallery (1976). He represented Ireland at the Cagnes-sûr-Mer painting festival in 1975, and has participated Oireachtas, Irish Exhibition of Living Art, and SADE ’82.
Aside from The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, his work is part of the collections of Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane; National Self Portrait Collection, University of Limerick; University College Dublin; and University College Cork, Modern Art Collection.
