Banahan, Christopher
Christopher Banahan (b. Nottingham, England, 1958) was educated at Nottingham Trent University and Goldsmiths College, London and has lived in Ireland since 1993.
He has represented Ireland in numerous international art exhibitions, including Contemporary Art from Ireland, held at the European Central Bank in Frankfurt (2005). Other selected exhibitions include Courthouse Gallery, Ballinglen Foundation, Ballycastle, Mayo (2004); Butler Gallery, Kilkenny Castle (2003); Hallward Gallery, Dublin (2002); Limerick & South Tipperary Arts Centre (2002); and The Turner Carrol Galley, Sante Fe, USA (1999).
Apart from the The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, his work is represented in the collections of the Office of Public Works (OPW), Microsoft and Dáil Eireann, among others.
