Rolfe, Nigel
Nigel Rolfe (b. Isle of Wight, England, 1950) studied at Farnham School of Art and Bath Academy of Art, England, and has lived and worked in Ireland since 1975.
Solo exhibitions include shows at his representative gallery Green On Red Gallery, Dublin (2012, 2010, 2008, 2005); Galerie Polaris, Paris (2008, 2005); Graphic Studio Gallery, Temple Bar, Dublin (2006); Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Cork (2003); and Butler Gallery, Kilkenny (2002). Selected group shows include ‘A Rocky Road’, curated by Sean Lynch, Crawford Art Gallery, Cork (2012); Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle (2009); National Gallery of Ireland, Dublin (2008); RCA Gulbenkian Gallery, London (2008) and Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin (2008).
His work is part of the The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon’s collection, along with the Irish Museum of modern Art and many others.
