Smith, Paki
Paki Smith (b. Dublin, Ireland, 1963) studied at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin.
Solo shows include Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin (2009); Taylor Galleries, Dublin (1999); 'Danger Unexploded Bomb' at the Linenhall Arts Centre in Belfast (1994) and Triskel Arts Centre, Cork (2003); Group shows include Draiocht, Blanchardstown (2001); and Ormeau Baths Gallery, Belfast (1997). He also works in film having been set decorator on John Carter (2012) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012). He directed a feature film called The Long Way Home in 2013.
He was commissioned by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon to produce work for touring exhibition ‘Inside Out’ (1993) and now makes up part of the public collection.
