McCarthy, Caroline
Caroline McCarthy (b. Dublin, Ireland, 1971) studied at National College of Art & Design, Dublin, and Goldsmiths College, London.
Solo Exhibitions include Parker’s Box Gallery, New York (2011); Green on Red Gallery, Dublin (2011); Hoet Bekaert Gallery, Ghent, Belgium (2008); Gimpel Fils Gallery, London (2008); Galerie Bugdahn und Kaimer, Düsseldorf, Germany (2007). Selected group exhibitions include ‘The Curator’s Egg, Altera Pars’, Anthony Reynolds Gallery, London (2012); Green On Red Gallery, Dublin (2012); Hoet Bekaert Gallery, Ghent (2012); and The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon’s ‘Collecting For Ireland’ exhibition, (curated by Ruairí Ó Cuív) at The Hunt Museum, Limerick (2011).
Apart from the collection of The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíoner, her work can be found in the public collection of Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin, Allied Irish Bank, Office of Public Works (OPW), Zabludowicz Collection UK, Berge Collection Spain, and many private collections. Public commissions include a permanent site-specific work for the Cicely Saunders Institute, commissioned by King’s College London in association with the Contemporary Art Society, 2010.
