Allen, Jo

Jo Allen (b. Maryland, United States, d. 2002) studied at Crawford College of Art, Cork, National College of Art and Design, Dublin, and University of Southampton. Allen moved to Cork from America in 1980. 　

Solo shows include the Tig Fili Gallery (2001); Boole Library, University College Cork (1993); and Cork Airport, AerRianta (1992). Allen was represented in the 1987 Irish Exhibition of Living Art, and featured in the group show of the Independent Artists (1986), as well as group shows at the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery (1986) and Crawford Art Gallery, Cork (1985). 　

Apart from The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, her work is featured in the collections of the Crawford Municipal Gallery and Contemporary Arts Collection, Lithuania.
