Biography

Mary Burke (b. Ireland, 1959) studied Fine Art at National College of Art and Design, Dublin.

She has exhibited extensively both in Ireland and abroad. Her solo exhibitions include Draiocht Arts Centre, Dublin (2013); ‘Imagined Spaces’ at RUA RED, Dublin (2011); and NAS Studio, Dublin (2011). Selected group exhibitions include shows at BLOCK B, Smithfield (2012); New Art Studio, Dublin (2011); and Dunamaise Art Centre, Portlaoise (2011). Burke was commissioned by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon to produce work for the first in a series of touring school shows entitled ‘The School Show’ (1986).

Apart from The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon, her work is included in many public and corporate collections including Dublin Airport Authority; Aer Motive Ireland; South Dublin County Council; Fingal County Council and the Office of Public Works (OPW).
