Comerford Lambert, Helen

Helen Comerford (b. Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. d. Kilkenny 2024) studied at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, Belfast College of Art and Design and Akademie Voor Beeldende Kunst, Utrecht, Netherlands.

Selected solo exhibitions include Taylor Galleries, Dublin (2004, 1996); Mrua Gallery, Co. Clare (2002); and Limerick City Gallery, Limerick (1995). Group exhibitions include Sligo Art Gallery, Sligo (2004); Butler Gallery, Kilkenny (2003); regular participant in RHA Annual exhibitions, Oireachtas, Irish Exhibition of Living Art, and eva international Limerick.

Comerford was commissioned by The Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon to produce work for the touring school show ‘Heroes’ (1986). Comerford is represented in the collections of the Office of Public Works (OPW), Galway City Gallery Collection, Hugh Lane Municipal Gallery, Dublin, The Modern Art Collection, Trinity College, Dublin, Limerick City Gallery Drawing Collection and Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA), Dublin.
